    Abstract:

    By default Mozilla does not allow links with the "file://" protocol. In this default setting the Rally file url functionality does not work.

    You can override the default by modifying the Firefox network settings:

    You can override the default by modifying the Firefox network settings:

    For Firefox versions prior to version 1.5
    ---------------------------------
    1. Type "about:config" in your browser's address field.
    2. Use the filter to locate the security.checkloaduri entry.
    3. Confirm that it is set to TRUE.
    4. Doubleclick on the setting to toggle it to FALSE.
    5. Close the browser and restart.
    6. When you restart the file urls should work.

    For Firefox version 1.5 and later
    ---------------------------------
    1. Type "about:config" in your browser's address field.
    2. Use the filter to locate the network.automatic-ntlm-auth.trusted-uris entry.
    3. Doubleclick on the setting to edit it.
    4. Enter the address of your intranet site, ex:. http://intranet.myco.com
    5. OK the change
    6. Close the browser and restart.
    7. When you restart the file urls should work.
